For Russ' converter, we chose to go with an OE style 310mm. He wanted it to be nice and tight. We upgraded it with billet parts for good strength, he likes to drive it so we wanted to make sure it would hold up. It is something we do not normally build, but we would be happy to add it to our list...I think it will do very well in his setup.

Any install updates????

He must not be on here right now. Pretty much everything is done except the transfercase and finishing up the crossmember. I'm taking off work tomorrow (cough, cough!) and we're finishing up the crossmember, and doing both of our transfercases. Then, it's just waiting for his driveshafts to come back from texas.

I'm just getting done working on it for tonite.I'll put some pics up tonite to show the progress.

My last converter was a 12" billet front circle d 4.3/4.8 converter. It flashed to 3000 and my old yank tt3000 used to flash to 3500. I wanted something a little tighter for street driving and hopefully be a smoother launch at the track(front spinning and hooping). Chris said no need for a billet front on this stock 80e converter but change a few things internally. It weighs the same as my billet 12" converter. It should flash 2500-2700.

Yes, just to clarify, we used a billet lock up piston. The OE piston can crack and cause an internal pressure loss. The OE front covers are very strong. We do have a billet option, but really not necessary.
