Default Sways and end link geometry?

Whats the impact of having longer v shorter end links? In other words how does the geometry & performance of the 4 link get impacted by moving the sway from perfectly horizontal (0*) at ride height to inverted (-30*)?
I ask as after getting my trailing arms and diff rearranged, it seems the sway now slams directly into my new diff cover now that I have the shorter end links on. So thinking that if I go back to stock length end links the bend in the sway will move back to -20-30* and clear it again?
