this is typed word for word off my new Eaton's application note #99998142100
(this slip came with the unit)
IMPORTANT APPLICATION NOTE
"It is strongly recommended the Eaton Posi LSD you have purchased be installed using a Mineral Based 80W90 Gear Oil (GM#1052271) and a 4 oz. bottle of Limited Slip Additive (GM#1052358). The Eaton Posi LSD is not recommended to be used with synthetic gear oils."

im told synthetics cause slipping in clutch style LSD's.
(this slip came with the unit)
