Shouldn't have to pull the trans to do that I don't think. Isn't it a quick connect style fitting? Can't you just slide the tool in there and yank on the hyd line? I'm not pullin' the trans just for that. This'll have to wait 'til the next time the clutch needs to be replaced.

your quick connect on the stock truck hydrualic line is at the master. there is a small roll(tension) pin. that fastens the hydrualic line to the slave. you have to knock the pin out to get the hyduralic line out of the slave to do the drill mod.

Mine has a the disconnect about 6 or so inches down from the master. Then the line goes to the slave and is pinned.

I had to knock the pin out to remove the quick disconnect so I could connect the pinned end, without the disconnect, to the T56 slave.

oh, yea. i forgot about that. in order to use the better fbody slave you have to remove the quick connect so you can use your truck hyduralic line.

FYI - anybody that is planning on the drill mod or is gonna replace a slave. from what i have seen the fbody slave and the truck slave are the same, except for the fact that the truck slave is all plastic and the fbody slave is metal.

if im wrong on this someone please correct me.

Well I wish I had your luck with the clutch, I have a NV4500, but it seems most of the clutch parts are interchangeable. This is my stock clutch after about 1000 miles behind the radix and about 48,000 total miles

Also here is a new slave I have I'm assuming the roll pin is the one holding the braided line into the plastic, and the small holes are in the plastic housing.
I also believe the McLeod makes better/stronger master and slave cylinders for these trucks.
