Tahoe Rear Brake Swap Question..
Alright so can it be done...
im loking to upgrade my brakes.
I just bought 17s bout a yr ago and have no plans on running a 18 on my 4x4..
Im thinkin:
hydro boost conversion
All Stainless steel Lines
05+ brakes up front with slotted rotors
03+ Tahoe Dual Piston Rears
Are the tahoe brakes just a simple conversion???
my mom has a suburban that shes planning on trading in pretty soon..
im thinking bout swapping in her brakes..
Can it Be done, or do i have to pull the axles to get teh backing plates..

Did the swap this weekend. Everything swapped perfectly. I did cut the corners off the backing plate with a pair of tin snips though.
You can feel the difference....
I should have the best OEM brake setup now. 05+ front calipers and rotors and 2-piston tahoe rear calipers.
Have a leak that I'm chasing down, but its coming from the T on the axle. Any tips? I'm going to clean/remake the joint this evening. I suspect there is dirt in it or I nicked the flare. Can the flares be cleaned up at all?

thats bad *** man.. hopefully i'll be able to do this soon, strapped for cash and one of the calpiper bolts on the suburban stripped.. so i just decided that ill do the swap later.. as far as the flare i would think that its just a dirty seal, id pull the T and put it back together all cleaned up, or maybe grab a new T, depending on where ut leak is
