I'm running the trailblazer converter and I like it. It foot brakes to 2500 and flashes to about 2300/2400 rpms if I can remember, hopefully it will work good with an LS6 cam...

thanks for the fast help guys, I'm pretty much decided on a TBTC but I'd still like to hear what kind of track gains you guys are getting and or how much the drop in gas mileage was.

Had a truck similar to yours. Didn't get mine to the track. TB converter was fun to drive, definitely better off the line. Gas mileage in town wasn't affected during "normal" driving, however if you drive with a purpose it will go down. Not that you don't have that problem now seems to be symptomatic of v8's

These are the part numbers that I had written down a few years ago when I was looking into a tbtc

I had to dig up this thread! Just recently put my converter in. All I can say is HOLY S**T! I did a bit of a break in I guess and once I got the fluid level settled I went out and ran it hard. Today I footbraked to 2500 and let her rip and burned all the way through 2nd gear! I was speachless! I'm very very impressed with my $200 investment now I just need tires. Anyways just wanted to leave some personal feedback so that guys like me are more motivated to do the swap. I paid $210 at the local dealership and had to give them mine as core. TB converter gets a big thumbs up!
