I can't believe the difference a higher stall makes. This truck is nothing but future tickets. I cant wait to put it on a dyno. The guy at the tranny shop swears I should have at least 500HP. I'll be more than happy with around 450. What do you guys think I have with:

2004 VHO Sierra-LQ9
224/228 .581 .588
CAIT
80mm TB
918 springs
stronger push rods
titanium retainers
LT headers
dual "18 magnaflows
HD2 shift kit
Nelson tune
Granatelli MAF
Electric fans

And are there any other performance recommendations. I would like to do something with some new heads or port and polish these. How about the rear end. i thought it was supposed to lock both axles when one side is spinning. Sometimes you see two tracks and sometimes you see one.

well, just a few observations... you don't have ANYWHERE near 500HP...not even close to 450 either, and second, a "higher" stall converter will definatly not show any kind of "realistic" dyno numbers anyways, remember a dyno is mearly a tuning tool and NOTHING more.

if i had to guess id say you have about 410-420 rwhp, which would be over 500 at the crank but nowhere near 500 to the wheels

Personally I think there is no way in hell he'll even make that much. I say he's around 375/375 hp/tq. He's on stock heads.

i was trying to be a bit optomistic, but yea you are probably about right

check the dyno truck list to see what others are making

Ahhh I see. I figure there's no point in him setting himself up for disapointment. But I'm willing to bet he's no where near 450 hp even on a dynojet.

Its a TCI 3000 stall.
I had it dynoed before the stall but the guy said it wasn't acurate because it would not stay in 3rd gear or 2nd gear. I cant remember. I don't think he knew what he was doing anyway and he didn't charge me anything. But on one pull it showed 377rwhp.
