With the longer bolts, you dont need to weld the the spacer, it bolts to the flexplate/crank. You could just get an LS1/TH400 Torque converter with the spacer already on it.
BTW, went ahead and used a 6.0L flexplate with a spacer and a 6.0L starter. Truck started up on the first try today! Im excited!

Hey tyler hows it been goin? Thats what im doin to 400 reverse full manual valve body and the spacer thing he's talkin about is that the snout on the convertor is to short and you have to weld it on the convertor to ride in the crank.What heads you goin with? I've almost got mine done!!!Rearends all together, trans is built and gonna put motor together tomorrow or thursday. I'm using the Victor Jr intake also that thing is pretty impressive and will be cool with a plate bolted ontop. I'm pretty excited hope yours comes together nicely .Whats the new DD? Sorry bout the book!!!

yeah i had the stall before i messed up my truck in Oct. I have the stock 3.42 rear end. Right now with the stock 16" rims and tires, im doing about 70-75 MPH @ 3,000 RPM. Its not bad at all.
