Pretty much take all your 60E durability concerns and cut the likely hood of that happening in half and that gives you worst case scenario with an 80E. Its not that they won't break, it just takes a lot more effort to do it.
My biggest complaint with mine is its slow to downshift. I never manually downshift it unless I'm driving around town and pull it down to 3rd but letting it shift on its own it does take a good half second or more to go from OD to 2nd or even 1st depending on how much I get into it. I've found all my shift time tables and delays and what not and zero'd it all out and it helped some but its just big and heavy.
