is there any differences in rears from a 2000 to an 08

Default is there any differences in rears from a 2000 to an 08

I just picked up an 08 sierra pulled everything good from it and one thing is the rear and springs its a 3.42 limited slip besides the brakes needing to be swapped to disc is it a direct bolt in for my 2000 ecsb

If I'm not mistaken I think 99-06 is one style and 07+ is different but maybe someone else can verify.

Do they use much salt on the roads in northern IL? My disk backing plates rust to hell in no time up here then it craps up the disks. IIRC that's why GM switched back to drums in 05 was due to problems with the disks in the salt states.
