Default Thinking of changing front lowering parts...need info.

I have a 4/6 drop now with 2" hotchkis coils, and belltech 2" spindles now with a tierod flip, bilstien shocks. It rides rough, and without the tierod flip it rode bad. After the flip it was better, but it is still there.

I was thinking of doing a DJM 4" LCA with the DJM UCA, and stock springs.

Anyone think it will ride better? anyone experiment with different combos, like a 2" LCA with 2" spring, or 2" spindle?

thanks

I just made the same switch for the same reason..I went from a 2" western chassis spindle/2" groundforce spring with doetch tech shocks to a 3" djm lca and 2" mcG spindle and Bilstein "smooth ride" monotube shock...10x better ride and no more bump steer or death wobble...I would say do it...NOTHING is going to ride as well as your factory coil..and not to mention no loss of travel

so your bump steer is gone? sweet. Mine is more of a very hard/stiff ride up front that is jaring, and bounces like front wheel hop on ruff roads. The shocks helped a ton, and so did the tie rod flip.

I also want to get some of the caster back. It never had problems with camber.

I'd do a 2" arm and a 2" McG spindle with stock shocks and springs... That's as close to a factory ride as you will get most likely.

Thanks for the input man! You think a 4" LCA is too much?

I have 4" lca's with stock springs and ucas. No tie rod flip or alignment issues. Rides great. Been like this for 5 years now. I am just now needing new lower ball joints. I run the rancho rs9000 adjustable up front with them set 2 clicks from the stiffest setting. The front end rides pretty much stock. Now the rear end with the caltracs cranked up is a different story...
