theres a nice range of things. first if your running drop shocks in the front there not letting it transfer weigh there too stiff and not letting the front come up fast enough or easy enough.. another is weight transfer they need it.. so lose the overload also. and any street tire is a joke. just realize if you want traction get a good drag radial and let the thing sqaut hard.. if not drive it spinning like it does and live with it

I run removed over loads and soft front springs and stock shocks up front. My truck weight transfers good. It has a 1" wheels gap standing still and will tuck the tires when I get on it. But it still blows the tires off, 275's till it shifts to 3rd when I get on it from a dead stop. Even rolling 1st is useless but it will hook 2nd from a roll if i'm going 40+ mph. I haven't had my caltracs on since I did my 4/6 drop. My track times went from 13.9@99 with a 2/3 drop and caltracs to 13.3@103 with a 4/6 drop and no caltracs, nothing else but suspension setup was changed.

what was your 60 foot between both runs? unless were talking a good .3 in just the 60 then the weather or something was good that night.. or you werent fighting a huge headwind or something on your truck decided to free up and strt running better. not hating just saying.

my old 5.3 05 dropped 1.2 seconds with just a intake and no other mods.. so i sometimes believe in crazy gains

I still don't understand how you're putting down 340/360 on a stock lq4 with just LTs, but your times back it up.

great times ur runnin there. Back to posting.....

I have a mild 6.0, flip kit with shock extensions and had real bad wheel hop...i hated it. Was considering caltracs. My mechanic said it was the shock extensions that were loose from the power.
He said they would loosen up again if he tighten them so he welded them. Instant traction. I can floor it now, go a "lil" sideways and get up and go.... I am very happy now, ear to ear...lol

hope this helps someone out.....rob (956) 802-7700

seriously..either 555r or mickey thompson et drag radial. those tires will get you moving you wont be able to slam the gas like on slicks, but a 20 or 30 punch will no longer be a problem. i dont think caltracs are really needed unless you start getting wheel hop.
