Those of you that are lowered, what QUALITY shocks are you running?
This happened to me Wednesday. I am only 4" up front, but these sensatrac shocks I just got are garbage and too soft.
I am looking for a better replacement. My Belltech SP shocks were ****, couldn't stand them. I am looking at QA1, RaceRunner, Fox, King etc. Whatever will work well but not break the bank.

I have been doing some searching for the answer to this. A lot of people recommend Doetsch shocks but I can't find any for a lowered 4wd truck. Their website only lists lifting setups for 4wd trucks.

I run Gabriel Max Control shocks. They only seem to last a year but they have a lifetime replacement warranty from Autozone. Not terribly expensive and fairly stiff. Plus they're monotube so you can mount them upside down.

I know there are numerous threads...but they tend to have vague info.

summit brand shocks are re-branded doetsch shocks. if you want to order from them you have to email them about their nitro slammer series. you will need the mounting measurements of the shock you need.

i am running some beltech nitro I shocks i got from Welcome to your #1 souce for ALL YOUR SUSPENSION NEEDS!.
they are very stiff imo on my regular cad truck but i like them.
also rolling the fenders may be a good idea.

After scraping today and rubbing some more I'm thinking I may need to minitub or check for some sort of issues... onc I get a day off I will jack it up and check things out. I may try my old shocks to see if that helps for now. I'm also looking into coilovers to see if they are worth the money and time.

I have fox shocks and love them because they are adjustable but if I were you I'd just hammer the inside of the fender lip back up into the wheel arch, take you all of 30 minutes and you'd gain the 1/2" you'd need. And if that's not enough roll the fenders, I have mine widened by 2" and you can't even tell. So much easier than tub'ing it. (although I also have my bed mini-tubbed too)
