Seems like you're good to go. Do what you planned, and stash away some EXTRA for when you putt the turbo on. Not wishing bad luck, but even I would have FLT or Performabuilt build you a unit from the ground up to hold for FI.

The gear selector shafts are diferent on the two transmissions. There isn't room to mount your neutral saftey switch on the f body tranny.

I agree but with thsoe 4l60e rebuild manuals he should be ok. I used the blue manual and had no problem at all. If he has any sorta mechanic ability he will be ok.

And the servo is definatly easier to install with the tranny out!!

Last thing be sure you dont lose the steel ***** when you remove the valve body and be sure they are in the right places when you put it all back together.

other than those few tips I thought it was a pretty easy project.
