I was/am confused about synthetics for tranny fluids. I run what FLT tells me to use, Dex III.

I run RP transmission fluid, the guy that helped on the tranny rebuild suggested it. He said it will stay cooler under hard driving conditions compared to regular ATF (I don't have a tranny temp guage, so don't know for sure). Crap is VERY expensive, like 9-10 bucks a quart and around 16 quarts for flush and refill...

if it's on your '07, I'd stick with the regular GM fluid. In 2006 GM went to Dexron 6 ATF, a synthetic transmission fluid from what I know. We can't even get Dex3 from GM anymore. That should be more than sufficent under most apps.

not much, I think the dex6 runs a little under $5 a qt, I think rp is prolly $7 or so a qt, just a guess on the rp.
