time for a trans cooler?

Default time for a trans cooler?

I jiust installed a autometer trans temp in my cluster today. and im reading about a steady 190 while driving around town i was told that 155-180 was normal, i do have a restalled 2800 stall, i guess that doesnt help much, what do you guyes think

Yes you should get one. It should have been done prior to or during your stall installation.

yes get one preferable the biggest one you can find.

your temps are pretty normal. with my cooler and stall the most i see is 200 beating on it. and probably 170 on the hwy.

My truck has the factory external tranny cooler that came with the trailering package, would it make any sense to run another external cooler in series, or will the additional stocker keep the temps down enough that adding another would be pointless?

TTT for the same question. Doesn't the stock tranny cooler work well enough or should we replace it with a bigger one or get another and put it inline?

I don't. I was more worried about the performance side fo keeping the tranny cool. I do several WOT runs a day Along with daily driving. I'm in FL it's in the 90's most of the time.

A new cooler should be run in a series with the stocker. Pressure drop through a new cooler such as a stacked plate B&M is minimal. Nothing to worry about.
