tire review (general grabber UHP)
first off i was skeptical as hell about buying a general brand tire. it was between the UHP's and the Ecsta STX. did some research and chose this over the khumo.
dry traction is top notch. i can still burn them over from a dig but with a 3200 stall, there aren't any street tires that will hold it. However it catches a lot faster instead of burning them going into second gear. From a 20 to 25 mph roll i could punch it and burn my old tires over easily. (they still had half their tread life left - Falken stz 04) Now with these tires, it hooks and moves. no spinning.
corning, it's there. i can take curves at greater speeds and it feels planted to the road.
havent driven in the rain yet. haven't had much rain in a while down here.
road noise. NONE.
Price. 107 each. can't beat that imo
yes i do have a lowering kit. it just isn't installed.

WOAH!!! Where did you snag those wheels? Dont look like 17" Timeless's to me.
Glad the new tires are working for you though. You are right about most any street radial not being able to hook from a dig with the converter. My 295/45/18 Nitto 555s dont stand a chance nailing it from a dig.

Are those 275/45's? Those look good; I'm glad to see a tire review that's not biased. I think we should have a place for different tire reviews on here. Like the wheels too, but I am kinda partial to them personally

Kenny, i got a line on a set of centerlines for a good good price. they messed up my order and i ended up getting an additional 100 bucks off. so i came out with around 400 bucks on the wheels (new). I need to talk to ya tonight so answer your phone when i call.
i like the wheels as well. i do agree we should have a tire review sticky. i'll bring it up in the mod forum. i believe it would be helpful to folks that are searching for a set of rubber.
