Default Tire Suggestions for 17 inch rim

I am having one hell of a time with my ride quality. But to expand on that, I have had my wheels balanced 6 times by 3 different shops and I lose wheel weights in under 100 miles. So I am getting new rims. While I am at it I am bumping up to size 17inch from size 16inch.

I am currently running a 265/70/R16 tire. I am looking for something in the same diameter but for a 17 inch rim.

Good tread quality and ride is important.

You guys go through tires faster then me, so I thought I would ask.

What's that diameter, I feel lazy and don'rt want to look it up. I run 285/60-17 on an 8.5" rim but honestly I am limited in tire selection. I'd go to an 18" if I was given a chance.

Trever1t,

That is about the same diameter I run now.

What tire do you run?

I considered 18, but I am not a fan of big rims. Moving to 17 was hard for me

I have the Hankook Ventus S/T and love them, they are so nice and priced very well. I'm not a big fan of big rims either but I think 18's would fit nicely and leave room for spindle, brake conversions etc.

Tire selection is much better with an 18" rim, i believe.

Those look like good tires! And they are priced really good! Thanks for helping me make up my mind.

sorry about the blurry *** pic... that was back in like 07 with old technology cell phones and before i had a camera and the only picture i have of it lowered.

I had 275/60-17 Falken's when I was lowered, fit perfect, rode great, and they lasted very well considering how I drive.
