They all strip out usually. I hit them on the side with air hammer or chisel to break them loose. Then get the updated 15mm hex head bolts and replace those.

I triple recommend the ARPs!! mine have been out about 20 times and they dont even have a scratch on them.. Pretty cheap too.

I always had one 8mm allen head socket just for them freakin stock bolts that were soft.
get a hammer and hit the socket a few good times and when your trying to break them loose be sure to keep the socket straight, get it off center and you just stripped it.

Be sure they are the exact length...and I mean exact. I put in a set and the torque converter felt tight but was vibrating real bad when I started it up. Had to replace them again. No big deal but a real pain in the ***.

Just like taking out a normal bolt, pretty basic. Use a 3/8" socket wrench with a 15mm 6 point socket and use the block as the leverage to keep the socket wrench straight. If you don't have enough muscle to break the bolt free slip a deep socket on the end of the socket wrench with a 3/8" 6" extension as leverage. They come out no problem.

If you have a billet converter you will need to make sure the bolts aren't to long. I always buy new factory bolts for non-billet converters and they have worked fine on every truck I have done.

Mine has an alan head bolt, not the hex head bolts. I will be going back with the hex head bolts if I ever get these out lol.
I was hoping someone may have some tricks to offer. A certain bit, use a torch etc etc.
And since I'm sure I may have stripped one, or three I was hoping yall may have some ideas

i use a allen socket on a 3/8s ratchet and i slide a 2 foot cheater pipe on it... make sure you hold it straight and it goes POP when it breaks loose!!!! never strippped one out before... i guess you could use a big pair of vice grips to get them off it they are stripped... you could pull the trans off and heat the converter up with a torch... where the bolts are and that should help get them out....

Where you this morning when I was fighting with it lol. I think I stripped one. I can't get my vise grips to hold cause it's at a slight angle.
I hate to pull the trans off the converter. I got it on stands in the ole ladys parking spot. Shed be pissed if I let that much transmission fluid soak into the carport

When i did my 6.0 swap i couldnt believe my truck had Allen bolts for the converter!

I used an allen wrench and a cheater pipe like said above, they all came out.

Good luck bro, if it gives ya fits, walk away, then come back before you really mess something up.
