Torque Converter coming out
#11
Well just for the record... and staying on thread.... The stock converter is doing the same thing. I am officially stumped.
Apologies to PI and their converters.
It is amazing the difference in how the truck drives with the stock converter. If my 60' times and 1/4 aren't drastically different I may stay with it. All the torque being wasted even below 2800 rpm. A kick down from 3rd to 2nd from about 40-50 is just amazing. Biggest thing I don't like is how hard it shifts with the stocker. The PI "soaked" up a lot of the hard shift. Anything beyond just idling to speed will snap the neck hard.

Can you post up a log of the trans doing this?

I might get to the track this weekend. I haven't done a full stall launch with it yet but it does fell like it pulls stronger midrange. Enough to overcome the 60' I think I will loose? We'll see.
I've attached the log that generated the screen shot from the first page of this post. I haven't captured the slip with the stocker yet but I bet it will look just like this one.
I am trying to confirm that it isn't tune related but feel it isn't. When it started I hadn't done any tranny related tuning in months. I put most of the tranny tables to a stock SS setup yesterday and its still doing it.
The major slip in this log happens around frame 6650.

I am officially stumped. Just driving it as is. Its annoying as hell. I've even considered finding a good stock tranny and throwing it in to see.
