Default torque converter noise

when it goes into lock up there is a kinda buzzing noise i guess you could call it. its kind of a mix between a growl, howl, and a buz i guess. but only under a slight load and and in lock up. if i let out of the gas a little while its still in lock up it goes away. i don't know if it does it on the highway because it not that loud. i don't remimber the noise before the install but when you install something new you pay more attention to noises. so it may have been there. i have don't have carpet so this may be why i can hear it. don't know just wondering if anybody else's does it.

took a look at your thread. mine does this after its all locked up. like if i'm driving 40mph down the road for say a mile it will do it the hole mile. its been in there like 3-4 months now. it stays around 160 temp unless i get on it then it goes to around 180 but that was when i had my eng coolant problems. this morning it didn't go about 130*

your lockup might be set at too low of a speed, causing it to shudder. you can adjust the lockup speed if you have tuning software.
