Is 2800k Stall Gonna Do It?
Precision is telling me to go w/ a 2800 Stall??? I figured at least a 3000k, I wonder if its too much
I'm told the 2800 will take better advantage of my power curve. Seems most of you guys are running 3000-3600k.
Another Mfgr. recommended a 3200k w/ my setup. I'm just not sure?
I'll just go 3000k (middle of the road) unless I am convinced otherwise, thanks guys.
- 4l60e
- 4700lb truck
- shifting @ 57-5800 rpm
- 3.73 gears
- 31" tall tires (street)
- F/I (supercharged)
- stock cam

What kind of supercharger do you have, that will make a big difference in what kind of converter you should go with. Im guessing a BD-11 is some sort of centrifugal s/c if so then I would go with a 3200 or 3600, 3600 will be good for when you put a cam in later.

Thanks man. This whole f-ing process is making me I hate making a choice like this without feeling or seeing the results first.

Makes sense. Main reason I'm not shifting any higher is to avoid over clocking the S/C with the 11lb. pulley and stock Crank pulley. I guess it might be better to drop back to a 9 lb. pulley and move my shift points back to 6k (or rev. limit) for better overall performance? Thanks, I hadn't really considered "adjusting" my power curve in that way yet. Correct me if I'm missing the point here. it's 4am I'll check back later.
