Default torque converter problem?

every once in a while on the freeway my converter wont lock up and it will just keep up revving with every slight movement of the gas pedal, then when u slow down to a red light and get back on the gas and get up to 48mph it will lock up... well any way yesterday on my way home it didnt lockup on the freeway and it wouldnt lock up in city driving ? any suggestions, tune or converter? by thge way i have a 4l60e built by circle d trans and a 30k cooler and 3600-3800 billet single disc on a 4.8L with 13000 miles

Need to get a scanner on it to see what is being commanded, then you can tell if it is a tune or mechanical problem. Intermittent problems are the worse....

Well I went to circle d and we tried to diagnose it and drive around for an hour or so until it did what it was doin wrong, then then we came to the conclusion that it had to be tune related, and Wheatley and I were goin over the tune and found a small little blip in it... All better now .... Hopefully.... Cross my fingers lol!!! It was just so damn frustrating !!! Lol
