Default Torque converter question

I'm getting a 2600 stall converter put in my truck this week and I have a question about my rpm's. So right now when im cruisin at 55-60mph my rpm's at 1700 so when i get the new stall and im cruisin at that speed wont my converter be slipping because it hasnt reached the 1:1 ratio, as in it wont be turning the same speed as the motor so wont it be slipping or am I wrong and why?

at that speed your converter should be locked up. so you will have a 1:1 ratio and still be turning 1700
