Torque Converter Slipping/Surging
Ok, when my converter locks up at 40mph if I try to accelerate at all with the converter locked up I get this nasty surging, like the computer can't decide wether or not it wants to leave the converter locked, or un-lock it. I have a Fuddle 3000 stall. And right now, I am really worried about burning up the lock-up clutch. Any suggestions? (PS I have HP Tuners, so if there is something I can do in the tune)

Matt and Beau were discussing this offline the other day....I think Matt said there was something in the tuning that could be done about the lockup settings to correct it. I wish I knew though...

no other trans modifications? Did this problem just come up or have you modded something and then you had surging lockup issues?
You can change the minimum duty cycle to like 80 accross the board, but I have an 80e and shift and HD parts. I am not sure what the correct suggest is on that though. I am sure afuddle can handle 80 across the board. Not that this is your problem.
If you just threw in the fuddle and have stock lockup settings. you may need some tweaking to those tables.

does it do it at a particular speed? you can adjust the TCC lockup numbers in the tune to work around common cruising speeds, you don't want it locking and unlocking too close to each other - especially at common cruising speeds
