Default Towing with a lowered truck

I just bought an 06 crew cab and I put the 2" shackles on it this weekend. It pulled my 18' car hauler just fine at the stock height and I really don't see any problems with the back down as little as it is, but I would like to go another 2" front and rear. What concerns should I have or is there anything I need to do to make sure I can still pull the race car?

I think the real reduction comes when you do a flip or C-Notch.

I dont think shackles will reduce your tow rating by much....just your tongue weight.

If you go with 2" lowering springs out back, I think they will lower everything too as they're not made as stiff as factory springs. You can always toss a helper bag in there for towing purposes though.

Probably just going with spindles on the front and hangers on the back for the other two inches, that way the factory springs are still there. I thought about the airbags just in case, just wanted other opinions.

Really depends on your tongue weight.

Another option is overload shocks

Can't do hangers on a crew cab. They're welded.

go as low as you want & get helper bags.

I aired mine up to about 80PSI this weekend & rolled with some mad Texas rake. I wasn't in Texas though, I just wanted to be able to clean my wheelwells.
