Toyo Proxes ST or Nitto NT-404 or Kumho Ecsta STX
Looking to replace my 305/45/22 Toyo Proxes. The tires are all about the same price (give or take $50). Is there a major difference between the three? Any suggestions?

has anyone tried both Nitto's and Kumho's? The rubber doesn't need to be too soft, I have awd and I would prefer a tire that last a little longer. I only got 23K out of my Toyos. How much did you get your Nitto's for?

My vote is for the Nitto 404's 15K miles on em and not a complaint. Good ride characteristics, excellent wet traction, makes the truck track down the interstate awsome. Have taken the truck to 135 (on GPS) and had no worries. Thats a 6000lb'er and felt confident.

If you have alot of HP dont get the Kuhmos. I had them and traction sucked. I could spin them for days. It would probably be a good tire for someone with not alot of hp or someone who was just using them for ride quality.

Yeah, I'm sure the Nittos are much better for traction if you have torque issues...I don't, only 350 RWHP/380 RWTQ on 5800 lb truck with stock stall, a five link, and 305/50's equals never getting rubber unless I'm turning the corner...
