Maybe this might Help. The chart below shows the Various RPM and MPG for each gear for 3.23, 3.73, 4.10, This was all based on a 29.76in tire (Stock size)..

Sorry it is kinda small, but that is all I could do....

Not neccessarily. Don't forget he's running a 4.8L so even with that stuff he could very well run a 14 second 1/4 mile.

I think the reason that no one runs them is because they aren't a GM gear and there is little to no difference between them and the 373 or 410. Not enough to go to an aftermarket gear and the problems sometimes associated with them.

3.90's in a dakota rearend is perfect imo. but the 360 in my old r/t is junk compared to the 5.3 in my silvy. I think they might be worth the try. like a happy medium between the 3.73 and 4.10. I want all around performance. not just track. I still have 5years left on the note.

With the 2007 4.8l having +10 hp & -25 ft lbs compared to a 2003 5.3, I guess it would be close, but a decent shot @ 13's depending on track, DA etc. 1 way to find out!

i switched from my 3.73s to a set of richmond 4.10s. i ended up losing time in the quarter because i started hitting 3rd gear instead of holding second. this is with 33" tires though, so if your already hitting third then they should help. as far as highway driving, i lost very little but i was pretty much returning my ratios to stock, but switching from 3.23s i think there will be a noticeable loss in mpg unfortuneately, but they do feel a lot better to drive.
