Caltracs & a set of M/T or Hoosier slicks. If still spinning the slicks, either go with a larger slick or use some Track Bite on the slicks. It will help out by softening the rubber even more than they are.
If you still decide on just using your street tires, it can be used on them as well.

Maybe on a wet street. I ahve a built motor in my truck pushing twice the hp you are and I can barely get sideways at 20 and for damn sure not at half throttle. I love it when people exaggerate how their truck runs

Caltracs worked for me. I could not rev to 2k and drop the clutch at the line with out really bad bucking and sideways spinning. I put the caltracs on and did the same, reved to 2k droped the clutch and the motor actually boged, chirped and took off. I don't think the motor felt very strong when it took off, I think it had a hickup! I am running bridgestone 275-45-20,s I have hotchkis 4 inch lowering springs. traction is good.

I got all the dyno numbers I need when I pulled an SS camaro with exhaust intake and tune from a 65 roll on the highway with a slipping trans and pig rich tune

(and a tool box full of ****, with my full system, full tank of gas, and another person in the truck)

I don't doubt that he loses traction at 1/2 throttle, my truck does the same and I'm honestly not one to make my truck out to be something it isn't. I'll also add that I do this with 275/45/20's, they actually spin more than the stockers. I can't say that I ever remember getting it sideways at 20 when it was stock though.

It does take more power, but it also has a lower 1st gear. The 4l60 has a 3.06 vs the 4l80 2.48, big difference. At the track with the 4l60 even on drag radials traction was limited off the line and was not there on the 1-2 shift.

What the hell is traction? Isn't that where you only have to feather it to the 100ft mark, then kick it down and race down the track? At least....that's my definition of it.
