If had a a chalk board and you sitting in front of me I could explain it alot better.... BTW I have a minor in physics, don't ask me why, I just really enjoyed all those classes(forces, wave motion, hydology, thermo, etc).... Strangely it comes in handy some times...

watch this video and tell me what you think. this was a 1.70 60'. i wish the video was from closer but even from half track you can watch the bed of my truck bounce up and down....then if you pay attention to the front end of the truck every time the bed bounces up (losing traction) the nose of the truck dives down. it does it 3 or 4 times until it totally grabs.
traction shouldnt be an issue at all. im running 28X10 hoosier full slicks on a 16X10" wheel.

it's not that hard, undo the ubolts and the center bolt that holds the leaf springs togeter. remove the bottom spring and put back together.
it will lower the truck a little.

get a c-clamp . . . unbolt your spring from the axle, jack up the truck, place the c-clamp on the center of the leaf pack, and undo the center bolt. It's under a "load" so that's what the c-clamp is for. Undo the over load spring + the steel shim, and then out the center pin back in. you might have to use a vice grip or a small pipe wrench. The bottom of the center pin is rounded, and there's no head on it.

with MTDR, I had wheel hop...
with MT 28x10.5x15 slicks...no wheel hop...
still debating the install of the Cal-Tracs that I already have...
I was told to check my pinion angle at launch or even during a power brake to see if the angle raises much above parallel to the ground...if so, install the the Cal-Tracs

these are them.

i like them alot. their stiffer than the stock shocks were. the stock ones were too bouncy for me especially after i dropped the truck.
i went with the ones for a stock height truck. if your lower than 2/4, you might want to cross refference pn's for some shorter shocks.
