We rate them for 500 RWHP. We have seen several guys push them past that, 600 or more with no problems. But typically if you have 600 or 700 HP then you probably need more stall anyways....

chris, i have a stock tb converter in my stock silvy. it does great except at around 50-55 mph it flashes constantly. any clue to what this could be? it stalls to about 2600 rpm from a dead stop, thank you.

Check it with a scanner to see what is being commanded. Might be the lock up cycling? The stock one can drop a bearing on the impeller side and puts lots of metal into the trans. You can pull the pan and see if it clean.

For what it is worth, I know it's beyond the recommendation.

I know someone that is driving around the country pulling a travel trailer with a Circle D convertor in a truck making around 375 Whp.

That impressed me.
