Default Tranfer case issues?

Has anyone on here with a 4wd 1500 had any problems with their T-case after installing a built tranny and a TC??? just curious if I should start saving $$ for that to go out next or what...

I have destroyed my 4l60e 5 times and a rear ring&pinion once but have never had a problem with my np241 xfer. The last time I had the tranny built, I had the xfer pulled apart anyway. The builder said it still looked new inside, he just replaced all the soft parts. I have 140k miles and maybe 200+? drag runs (not counting off-track) in 4wd. You can see from my sig the engine is nowhere near stock. I keep hearing about the danger of xfer cases exploding, yet I have never seen one or know someone who had it happen. I have seen many trannies and rear-ends break at the track. I would also like to hear from someone with firsthand experience.

built the hell out of my 60e and abuse the 4wd in my truck, i.e. 2,200 stalls, offroading and numerous 4 wheel wet pavment burnouts, and still no problems. i changed the fluid about two months ago and min amount of shavings. the t-case unlike the trannies are good to go.

I asked the same question awhile ago, and Parish chimed in that he had the stock t-case up to something like 600 rwhp, always launched in 4wd, and never once had a problem with it. I don't think you should worry about the t-case.

Ok good. With my truck having 130k on it now an me modding it out, my cousin told me I would probably blow my t-case next because I always launch in 4wd and sometimes if it is wet I will run her in 4wd, also when I go snowboarding I have to use it. I am not planning on goin over 600 rwhp with this truck(i dont so think anyways) So i should be good for a while on that. Thanks guys!
