Default tranny cooler

what size tranny cooler are people running? For people with stock tranny coolers is that enought to keep are bolt on truck cool? i have been thinking about getting a cooler from oregon trans off ebay... what size would you suggest!! i do have a stock cooler...

i would get the largest you can get. i have the second largest b&m supercooler and i am either going to swap to a larger one or put a fan on this one. do it right the first time and get the big'en. oh yea, the stock one is very small. i am sure it will keep temps lower than not having one but like anything else stock, the aftermarket has it beat.

long makes the tranny coolers for gm. long has the best tranny cooler on the market except one other but it is 600 or 700$$ thats why the stock cooler is so small and still works ok. buy a 12x11 long it is the best for the money.

b&m supercooler.. i beleive that is the 28,000 gvw one.. that is the largest one that doesnt come with the expensive fan on it, which when mounted in front of the a/c condenser, it doesnt need an extra fan.

Do the aftermarket transmission coolers require any modification to mount in the stock location since they are larger than the stock unit?

nope no modifications to mount it up...

I picked up a pretty good sized Hayden cooler this weekend to throw on mine when the tranny goes in tomorrow (hopefully)....
