I would think a cooler from 24000gvw to 28000 gvw would work well. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at any time. Vince

Just go with whatever Vince suggests, and get it from FLT. Being that your droppin the coin for the 4l65E already, might as well not cheap out on the cooler. Great folks over there, I'm sure they can make can shoot you in the right direction.

1slowhoe just put a 40000 gvw cooler on his tahoe. Looked like a real monster cooler if you are in an area that heat is a real problem. Just make sure to tighten all the lines before you fire it up!JK Sorry hoe just had to throw that out there.

yeah go with the 40kgvw cooler, if you live in a hot area, I went with the 24kgvw and it worked good with the TB stall and the 2800 stall, but now with the 3200 it is not doing great... doing good but not great... I will be upgrading sometime soon to the 40kgcw cooler..

LOL! Yes tighten ALL the clamps. I had about 1/2 quart in my driveway
That 40K GVW is a monster. I had to mount it upside down to be able to get to the hose connections. It will fit right behind the Radix I/C. You have to move a small sensor on the drivers side and the power steering cooler bracket bottom bolt had to be removed and the bracket pushed over about 2".
I wanted the biggest sucker that would fit. My tranny temp never gets over 160*. It usually is around 140-150.
My stock tranny cooler was a joke, about the size of a post-it note. I was sitting at 200* tranny fluid temp everyday. It didn't matter if it was hot or cold outside.
I got the Tru-Cool LPD4739
As mentioned earlier, dont skimp on the $100 cooler after you spent thousnads for a good tranny. Heat will kill your tranny as fast as beating on it constantly.

another vote for the 40K GVW cooler from "bulkparts"!!

My tranny temps were around 200 with a stock converter and no cooler, now they are always around 140-160 with a 3000 stall and the 40K GVW cooler. It's never gotten over 160
