Tranny Differences in Tow Package??
Is there really any difference in the actual transmissions in the 1/2 ton trucks with the tow package? Still just the 60? Is there anything I can do to make mine last longer if I pull a trailer a decent amount?

I have the tow package and it is a 60E with the oil cooler. I tow a 4000lb trailer some and so far no problems yet. I don't pull regular or over mountains though.

when i pull my 26 foot travel camper i use the tow haul button till i get up to speed. if i am on a straight and level road i will switch to od. but for any incline i drop it to 3 and let it ride there so it isn't shifting back and forth.
I have no idea how heavy the camper is. i do know that i pulled it once with the ******* underneath completely full of water. (didn't know it was full)

I always tow in tow/haul, but it doesn't seem to gear hunt at all. It will kick down going up long hills, then hit OD once it levels out, or starts down. Just didn't know if it would cause any problems with heat. It seems to do fine, just want to protect it as much as possible.
