Default Tranny experts chime in another 4l60e ????

Hey I've been searching high and low for a transmission for my v8 s10 swap I have a 99 5.3 wiring harness I found a deal on a 99 4l60 that was powered by a 5.7 vortec my question is will this transmission work as far as wiring harness and anything else??

Thanks

Ryan

Wireing harnes Yes But, I believe The input shaft, Torque converter, and bell housing are different on a 5.7L 350 Vs. a 4.8/5.3 LS series V8. You may want to Ask A tranny Shop...

Wiring is the same. But as stated above, the older non gen 3 motors used shorter input shafts with different converters and bell housings.

we just mated a 07 classic 5.3 to a 98 4wd 4l60e. It works perfect other than we had to move the trans forward less than a inch. Nonnieselman will chime in and say for sure
