I just got the thing running after waiting 7 months and i dont want it to blow up again lol
when mine hickups like that the transmission usually loses a gear within the next few thousand miles. yours is a fresh transmission so i say ignore it, check the fluids and dont get too concearned about it until it does it again.

I must've been really fortunate when I bought my '99 @ 39K, back in '00. I never really had the chance to get any tuners or kickass mods way back then. Busy workin' on everybody else's chit, ha.
Now, it has 237K on it & just recently gave up 3-4 aboutta week ago. I've done nothing but work, tow & dog the hell outta this truck. She's hauled more cars/Projects home & various other destinations all over Texas. I thought I was doing good to service the 60E every 50K, or so.
About a month before I added a Superchips programmer, the tranny started doing odd things it had never done before, while still stock. Acting like it would bounce off the limiter from 2nd to 3rd, similar to the 1st to 2nd limiter. I figured, hell, at this point, if I blew anything I'd have to say I'd got my money out of it. It held for another month, made a trip to the coast & back to Corpus once more. On the way home from a nearby town, I was actually driving the speedlimit & noticed while trying to ascend a rise in the hiway, the tach swiftly rose to 4K & the speedo dropped to around 55, simultaneously.
No hot-doggin', show-boatin', ***-grabbin' or power brakin'! Just cruising home.
Limped her home in 2nd & haven't got around to pull the tranny yet.
Just thought you guys could use a little testimonial on the " sometimes you win, sometimes you lose" theory, ha. I'd like to upgrade, but can't justify it at this time being as it's still stock & all. Hopefully, with being on this site, I'll get in on the good stuff, hehe.
