Default Tranny slipping/breaking/trq converter?

First off sorry for my POS camera. apparently it doesnt have Mic, gonna try to get a better one later. But recently when cruising right around 45 and going WOT after its done and downshifted right about 3400rpm itll jump up to around 4100, drops down to about 3700 pauses then continues to pull, at first i thought it was spinning em or something but im almost positive there no way in hell thats happening, just trying to see if anyone can figure out what they might think it is, sound video to come soon as possible..

flare? do you have any logging software? If the rpms flare up and then drop but the speed MPH doesn't then you might have a trans slip issue

I have a similar problem but the rpm don't drop as much as yours.just wondering if some super hold servos would help out.my first to 2cd gear shift seems long and slow. Needs to be faster

no servo is gonna help. if your trans is slipping and didnt before clutches or a band are scortched. the only way to fix it is to rebuild

as far as the vid do what bill said make sure its not some crazy tune problem or anything to that sort. check and see if the fluid has a burnt smell or is brownish

good chance it will need to come out though

It sounds alot like slipping, But its after the trans. has already downshifted into gear. Then it will pull for a couple hundred RPMs then Flare up, Then drop down a little, Hold the RPM and then continue to pull like normal. Havent payed attn to see if the MPH quits climbing yet..

EDIT: just watched the vid again, to me it looks like the MPH does keep climbing when his RPMs pause for a moment..Thats not lookin good..

We thought tune issue too, But its basically a stock truck all thats done is a CAI and muffler. Thats it.

Also if he does a WOT run from like 60mph it will down shift and then up shift to the next gear almost immediately, It started doin this awhile back before the problem stated in this thread..

it doesnt do it everytime but some of the times that it does flare, it seems like that mph climbs alot faster right after a flare
