Based on the data you gave and assuming 10% converter slip you should be crossing the finish line around 5500 rpm at 130mph.
If your at 6500 at 130 mph, then you have about 30.5% slip, either in the converter or trans which is a lot.
I'd say you have a problem somewhere

Vince im about to be right there with ya! Got the truck out of the shop today just to see what i could go up to on the transbrake with no 2 step and it ramped right up to 4800-4900 rpms.... Im almost at a loss of what to do, do i want a converter thats loose to build boost off the line or do i want a tighter converter to MPH higher?! I really dont know the happy point in this scenerio and sure wish i had the coin for a Neal Chance or other big name converter company... I did look at my old logs with the 4l80e in the truck and it was doing 130mph at 5500 rpms so that pretty much tells me its in the converter, i miss my 80e converter lol but it was harder to make boost on the line with because it would only trans brake about 3400-3600

I have a gauge for that

The ideal thing to have is a loose converter to build boost off the trans brake then lock it up once you get going. Problem is locking a high-stall loose converter is extremely stressful on the converter, especally with a high power setup.
With that in mind, yank is now making a multidisk 80e converter that looks enticing...
