Default Tranny starting to slip, how can I save it?

Bought an 04 ECSB back in June. Needed something reliable after my other truck got totaled by a drunk driver. Got it for a good deal, LM7, G80, 20" wheels, etc.

The other day I noticed that from a stop light the truck "hesitated" a bit and then it felt like it slammed into gear. The guy I bought it from took really good care of the truck and said he never tuned it. However, after driving it around it is clear that someone tuned the truck and more than likely has the shift points set at "break yo neck".

I plan on getting it tuned to fix the issue with the transmission and hopefully pick up a few MPG's. However, I'm afraid the damage has already been done and don't know what I should do. I plan on servicing it this weekend but didn't know if I could do anything else to it to help it out. I've heard a bigger cooler, trans go, vette servo, and deeper pan can help the weak 60E out but didn't know if those will do anything now.

Check your fluid level. Mine was low and had similar symptoms.

Break yo' neck doesn't make the trans slip, it breaks hard parts. Hard shifting is actually better for the clutches, worse for the metal parts.
