Tranny temps during the winter
hi there guys.. its almost winter in a month or two.. *middle eastren weather *
the tranny needs to be stable at a certain temp to lubricate not too cold < not sure about this information.. but definately not too HOT!! , to keep the temps stable what do u guys do.. i was told by a guy who ones a speedshop that he blocks half or quarter of the cooler.. any pictures will be very helpful...

Ive installed more of those 40K coolers than I can count on my fingers and never once read the side of it
Sounds like the external thermal bypass they sell is just a hoax then. Ive personally never used the bypass on any of the ones Ive isntalled and never had a problem, I guess that explains why

I have been wondering this as well. Now the temps have been dropping and while driving down the highway with the converter locked my trans temp are around 120-130*. Im kinda wondering if this is a little too cool.
I have the trans fluid going through the radiator, then thermal bypass, then trucool 40k and back to the trans and just a 278mm 3200 converter.
