Default trans cooler

How did you install your trans coolers. Some have said to bypass the radiator cooler and just use an aftermarket unit alone.

I didn't bypass the cooler. Your tranny will run alot more cooler if you don't bypass the radiador.

I got mine running into the external cooler followed by the radiator, I have yet to see temps above 180*F when towing, and 150*F in the city.

i deleted mine running through the cooler and my stock auxillary cooler, and i just put me a big *** cooler dead infront of the directly up front .i just cut my old cooler lines off going into the radiator and i had to cut my auxillary cooler out and my front braces out and then made a custom mount. works great and its really simple

bull ****, then how come my trans is 110 on highway and 150 city? think about this if trans fluid goes into a heat exchanger in the rad that is already at 190* then how can your temps get any cooler then that? if you then run it out of the rad and into the cooler then youre putting warm trans fluid thru the cooler and hoping it cools more. your better off bypassing it unless youre using it in the winter and then you would want the heat to help it shift in the cold weather

mines by passed with a modded setup
