I'm just wondering if this is fair?

4L60e with Sonnax super holds and 5 gear planets inside to name a few. The input drum keeps loosing the snap ring.

If the planets are OEM then They are worth way more then that alone.

60s are given away around these parts, ive sold 30k mile stockers for 300 bucks

100 bucks take it and leave

 

A broken trans is virtually worthless no matter how many good parts are in it.
You dont know what else it took out until you open it up.

If you're sticking with the 60E, have it built as a spare. Other wise you have to break it down yourself and sale the good parts. Once its in pieces the rest will basically be throw away items. But I bet your trans guy will still take whats left if he doesnt have to shell out any money.

 

Spot on. I would be very happy with $100 for a busted 4l60. I sold my working 60e for $175 couldn't get anything more than that. My busted 80e was sold for $250.

 

Sold my bad 60e for 80. 100 doesn't sound bad.

This whole deal is pushing the wallet envelope if you know what I mean, so I am polling you guys for help just in case.

The truck is a 4x4 ECSB and the deal is he is installing my Transbuilderguy Level 4.5 for $300.00 + the core.
He normally charges $400.00 to swap one out.

I bought a core, no tail housing, for 100 bucks. Seemed fair.
