Default trans lockup intermittent problem

I just started having a lockup problem after my last cam install, with the same old tune, and with both new tunes. it will happen when nomal temp, it shifts into 4th and does not lockup for about 15-30 sec. I have put the cruise on, and it makes no diff. it has only done it 1 time per key cylce, but sometimes not at all. it acts just like my old 03 dodge did when it was still cold and it would not lockup untill it was above a certin temp. It is not harsh when it locks up, it feels normal, and it is not a gradual lock up either. it doesn't do it all the time after a key cycle on the first lock up point, but most the time its durring that first lock up. any ideas? solenoid? no codes...thanks

Maybe a random missfire. Although usually that will happen after the converter locks

if it sets any misfires, it won't lock the converter. I would check that.

After intalling a cam,if you do not tune for the cam and increase your missfire counts,it will throw a P0300 (multiple cylinder missfire) therefor your converter will NOT lock if you throw a P0300 code!!

It is locking, but only after 15-30 seconds of being in OD unlocked (from what I remember eric telling me)

yeah, damn p0300 code....justin sent me a new tune to try for that cause it would set everytime at idle with the new cam. it will lockup, but it is delayed. its not a everyday driver, so I do not get to test things as much as some guys do. thanks guys.

chase, you can disregard the text.

As mentioned random missfire is a common issue for random lock and unlock. It may not set a code either. Its likley your problem here.
