Wish I could help more, but when I made my thread I never mention it cause I thought it was normal, but when gauge stop reading hot the whine was gone.. All I had is a heat gun to check temps. Mine would hit 260* sometimes, but heat gun only would show 185*

Mine whines 1st really bad. But most them i heard with 100k+ miles on them are gonna whine.
My brothers with 315k miles sounds like a old eaton roots blower.
Mine runs about 100* if its 32* ambient. Takes forever to warm up enough to lock up.
Sounds like you have a slipping problem or not enough air flow over the cooler.

Well I wish mine would fix itself. lol Just talked to a local trans shop and he told me that I most likely have a torque converter lockup issue but I can fell the converter locking up but maybe its just partially locking?

I would check your converter lock up % with the scan tool.. if it is slipping excessively it will cause high temps.. i would also check your air flow across the cooler.

My trans cooler in the radiator was clogged when i got it so i bypassed it and only running the trucool 40.
I wish i could run it in the radiator so it would warm up quicker.
You can log converter slip on your laptop.
