Default Trans smoked! no 3rd or 4th. NEED HELP

OK here is the story. I have had my trans shift points and pressure up all the way with my handheld programmer sense the truck was new(now 70,000). I have had a problem with the truck stalling lately so I returned everything to stock. After doing so it was been shifting funny for the last week. It started with a long delay 1-2. Then the contveror would lock and unlock very fast at normal 60 mph driving. Final when pulling onto the highway (not hammering it) it shifted out of 2nd and rev way up. I got it off the road into a mail parking lot and it lost 2nd then 1st a minute later. After having it towed home it had 1st and 2nd back agian but the trans was cold. The fuild smells burnt. I got a TCI streetfighter rebuild kit, 3000 rpm stall and shift kit for it. I am not a trans guy and dont know what is wrong with it. Any ideas?

Thanks Anthony

The 3-4 cluth pack is smoked for one thing. Join the club.

I suggest a complete rebuild.

What hp/tq levels are you looking for and what are your plans/goals with the truck?

At least convert all the hard parts over to 65e/70e stuff. OEM 5 pinion planetaries, better sun shell, hardened input/output shaft to name a few. Scroll down in this section a little further, and you'll see a thread I started awhile back about building a solid 60e. There are parts lists in there that'll give you an idea. Your average rebuild kit isn't going to cut it if you're going to really drive your truck.

Ok I got all of my stuff from summit today. I have a TCI rebuild kit with a shift kit, TCI street fighter 3000 stall and a B&M 28,000GVW trans cooler. I need to get a servo but don't know witch one. Should I run just a 2nd gear servo or both a 2nd and 4th. What brand and PN do you guys use. I think summit only carries Jet and TCI. What others are there.

Thanks, Anthony

A regular Corvette servo is what most guys run. Its really cheap and is a good part. Some run the billet od servo but I don't think its really necessary in most cases. Don't know the part number but you can find them on Ebay fairly easily.
