Default Trans Temp at 224*!!!-4l70

i was driving out to my buddies house last weekend doing about 75 when i realized how hot the trans was...the digital gauge in the dash was reading about 224* so i slowed down to 65 and it cooled off a little but my concern is something is really wrong with it...because i have dual trans coolers(factory+ aux. under the front bumper w/ fan) and it was only 104* outside. The other problem i noticed was the RPM's where jumping from 2200-2500rpm when i was doing 75.

Truck: 2007 GMC sierra 1500 vortec max, supercharged-8psi, longtube headers. tune, lifted on 35's, billet shift servo 1-2 shift

So is something wrong? if so what could it be?...because its only going to get hotter here in az and im supposed to be towing jet ski's this weekend

Jumping could be converter locking/unlocking...were you climbing a hill, enough to pull the converter out of lockup? Locked converter and high speed cools your transmission off the fastest.
