Trans temp sensor location

At the beginning of a run you brake stall in the water box which generates a good amount of heat. Then if your brake stalling the launch, you're generating additional heat on top of what you already did in the water box. I couldn't see a 120* trans temp at the beginnong of a run. Your trans temp should drop at the end of the run if your cooler is doing it's job.

That doesn't seem right. I wouldn't think your trans temp would be higher at the end of the run than at the beginning. Especially a jump of 50*, that doesn't seem possible.

so the trans temp monitors the cool fluid in or the hot fluid out or somewhere in between?
i know some coolers say they drop temps 20* but has anyone actually monitored the hot and cold side to see what the affect is?
