ok so i havent really done much to the engine, i have the gm performance intake with bassani mids and a 24" magnaflow dumped, and a tune, thats it. i already feel like my 4l60 is getting ready to let go. It feels fine under wot and between shifts but at 75-80 there is a low frequency noise, its an intermittent hum, like a pulsation but its a slow on/off, every 2-3 seconds, and recently it has only gotten worse, now i can feel when it is the loudest it feels like the truck is slowing, and when it goes away it feels like its speeding back up. so i talked to my tuner, he thought it might be a driveline vibration so i had the d.s. balanced and that didnt help. Now i am feeling the vibration more and more, and it seems like shifts between gears are getting harsher, so its seems to me like its only a matter of time. so i have been looking at performabuilt and FLT, as an option, but i know nothing on transmissions, pls give me some insight, you guys are the best out there and reeeeaaaallly know whats up, should i get a beefed 4l60 or go 4l80? (btw its a rcsb 4x4 and i have plans on doing a 6.0 swap and an awd swap) i wanted to stay with the 4l60 but was thinking that a beefed 4l65e would take care of my needs.
