I would check your connection terminals to make sure there is not any corrosion. Hard to believe that a P/N switch fixed your problem unless it was out of adjustment. What you have described almost sounds like a cracked 1-2 accumulator piston. I have seen when they start to crack oil pressure on one side of the piston will leak into the 2nd gear accumulator clutch circuit. Basically applying the band when it should not be applied. As the pistons crack gets bigger the problem gets worse. Usually a band failure is what we see with cracked plastic pistons. If in fact yours is cracked get an aluminum one and this will not happen again. Good luck. Vince

Went for a second drive and it seemed to shift fine still. Vince Ive got a 408 to install in the spring and was wondering if your level 4 4L60E would handle the torque and what converter would you suggest for it.

I would look at the list of preferred converter vendors on our site and give them a call about a converter recommendation. They will help you decide what will be best for your combination. As for the trans I would like to know what your rw #'s will be in order to help you make that decision. I feel that the level 4 is good to around 400-450 at the wheels depending on the weight of the truck. Feel free to give us a call when you have time. Vince
